Regina Lutheran Home

“A Vibrant Community of Caring”

The Regina Lutheran Home opened it’s doors in 1964 and is “home” for 62 Elders. This long term care facility is located in north central Regina and is the only long term care facility in the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region that has adopted and implemented the Eden Alternative philosophy of care.

The Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region provides funding to all long term care facilities; the Regina Lutheran Home is also supported through donations from the community in a variety of ways, including wills and bequests.

The Regina Lutheran Home celebrates it’s 50th birthday next year and it’s no secret that buildings do not last forever. Eden Care Communities has begun to dream of a village on the site where the Regina Lutheran Home is currently located. In the dream, we envision a community that will meet the needs of the people in north central Regina. Our community would consist of a primary health center, a school, multi-generational programs, shared worship space, assisted living, long term care and a daycare...just to name a few of the services that will be available.

A dream like this is not easily achieved; it takes hard work, dedication and commitment. Dreams can become a reality with support from partners and donors who believe in our dream as much as we do. Please think of us when you are doing your financial planning; your support can help others to have a life worth living and can enrich lives long after you are gone.
